Mistletoe is a very special and unique plant. This plant is said to have magical properties in is considered to be very scared. It is a very old tradition to kiss someone who is standing under the mistletoe during the Christmas period.

Mistletoe is a very holy herb and is considered as the symbol of love, peace and harmony. On the Christmas Eve if you are found standing under the mistletoe and someone approaches you for a kiss, but if you do not want to be kissed by that particular person then here are some excellent tips for you to avoid the dreaded mistletoe kiss.

1.Plan From before
Before you go to a Christmas party always have a mistletoe game plan. No one wants to be kissed by an unknown stranger, a drunkard or a Casanova. So, in order to avoid this dreaded and awkward situation always have a game plan from before.

2.Fake a coughing fit
Being kissed by the person you most dislike can be a very bad experience. But if that person catches you standing under the mistletoe then it would be very difficult for you to get out of that situation. So, in order to avoid that dreaded kiss fake a coughing fit but be very careful not to overdo it.

3.Tell that person that your boyfriend is very jealous type
Another great tip to avoid that awkward mistletoe kiss with a stranger is to tell him that you have a very jealous kind of a boyfriend and that he would surely get angry if he would see you with another guy.

4.Run away from that place
If you really do not want to receive a kiss from a stranger and a Casanova under the mistletoe then just run for cover as soon as you see them watching you stand under the mistletoe. This is in ideal way to save your self from the dreaded mistletoe kiss.

5.Take a call at that moment
Always keep your self phone handy to avoid such awkward situations. Even if no one calls you; just try to receive a fake call from your mother. Pull out your cell, frown a little at the display then immediately fake an argument with your mother as you walk out of the room.

6.Make him your dream man
If any man comes up to you for a kiss while you are standing under the mistletoe then make him your dream man and tell him that you knew someone would surely come and propose you today, if he is wise he would go away from that place immediately.
